Reflections — A poem
1 min readApr 5, 2019
What does the mirror show you?
Is it close to what I see?
Apparently not,
For based on your smile,
The truth is what you want it to be.
For mirrors can only reflect your skin,
They can’t reveal what lies within.
And really,
Who knows!
Maybe that’s a good thing!
As long as you have to be you,
I mean,
Perhaps some things should remain unseen.
